We have now implemented a new text messaging service which allows patients to cancel their appointments via SMS. We have since seen a reduction in the volume of telephone calls we receive at the practice. We hope this should continue.
*34% of patients usually get to see or speak to their preferred GP
We have recently implemented a new appointment system at the practice which allows better access to the patients preferred choice of clinician. All GP appointments can be pre-booked in advance for ongoing issues. This has created better flexibility.
*51% of patients were offered a choice of appointments when they last tried to make an appointment.
Our practice staff are trained in care navigation. We have a mixture of clinicians who can see patients within the surgery. these include:
GP’s, Registrars and students (as we are a teaching practice), a Paramedic, Clinical Practitioner, Pharmacist, Practice Nurses, Health Care Assistants.
